COMPLETE CRESTRON SYSTEM OVERHAUL

The homeowners were never satisfied with the original system’s programming and functionality. But now they have a fully operational Crestron system that provides usable, enjoyable control of nearly every aspect of their estate. And it operates how they always envisioned it could. We rewrote the entire Crestron programming and reinvented the touch panel interfaces. But we worked with the homeowners, their IT staff, and BarMak Systems (a San Diego integration company) to retain as much of the existing Crestron 2-series hardware, configuration and wiring to avoid a complete, multi-hundred thousand dollar rebuild.The residence includes a total of 23 video displays most of which are controlled locally for watching TV or viewing one of the thousands of films available from the centralized movie server. The game room includes multiple video displays including a 90 inch LED TV. We also programmed in a Crestron DVPHD that allows for viewing of four video sources on a single display.

Each of the thirteen bedrooms include a Crestron MLX-3 remote with on-screen control and feedback for the video sources with user-settable channel favorites and music source selection. One of the special features we developed is seamless control of the 13,000 square foot residence’s 16 thermostats from anywhere, including the MLX-3 remotes. They include both HVAC control functionality and viewable/settable thermostat set points.

In addition to the individual systems and local room control interfaces, the residence includes a total of 31 audio zones, all controllable from whole-house interfaces including Crestron TPS-6Ls, TPS-8Ls, Apple iPads and Crestron xPanels. The house-wide user interfaces also control lighting throughout the residence. A total of 270 lighting loads are managed through our Crestron lighting programming that runs along-side the A/V control systems.

Experienced Crestron programming and intuitive user interfaces have taken this estate from a collection of expensive hardware and miscellaneous features, to a cohesive system that makes for the ultimate in prestigious entertainment and luxurious living.
