TD Ameritrade has offices nationwide and relies heavily on video conferencing to maintain interoffice communication. As such, it is critical that the company has state-of-the-art systems in place and that they are consistent from office to office.
TD Ameritrade brought in AVI Systems, an audiovisual integrator with which we have worked closely on many Crestron programming projects, to upgrade their Cisco video conferencing system. AVI Systems contracted with us at AVPA to update the system’s user interface, giving the Crestron TSW-1060 touchpanels a look that is similar to the Cisco Touch 10.
Since TD Ameritrade had recently added more Cisco video conferencing systems to their offices and had also added to the number of Cisco WebX users, the Crestron module they had been using could no longer support them all. AVPA proposed a pilot project to integrate the newest Crestron module, which could handle a larger number of users and create the CE9 interface that would become the basis for all future TD Ameritrade Crestron-controlled Cisco systems.
After that pilot project was successfully completed in the Omaha office, AVPA was then tasked with upgrading the video conferencing systems in 12 more offices, using the CE9 interface as the basis for all Crestron-controlled Cisco systems with complex audio and video routing. Since every location is unique, this required some custom integration work and special programming to deliver a consistent look and functionality system-wide.
The new look and feel of the user interface will also be applied by AVPA to all future offices constructed for TD Ameritrade.
