CUTTING-EDGE MEDIA DISTRIBUTION
Tasked with the Crestron programming, we developed routines to manage the massive A/V distribution network based on three Crestron 32 x 32 Digital Media Switchers. The program supports up to 32 A/V sources and intelligently distributes them to more than 80 destinations around the 200,000 sq ft. facility. The project originally included only the main building, but quickly expanded to include the second wing.
Unical wanted to offer a dynamic and uniquely designed environment for their employees and customers. The primary functional goals for the Creston and audio video system was to distribute media, and background music to all areas of the facility including many employee-focused locations like the lunch room, gym and outdoor BBQ/ party areas. In addition, our program allows for distribution to work areas like the meeting rooms and lobby areas. We also control two large video walls in the entry areas that serve digital signage content to visitors.
Lastly, the system was upgraded to add support for security cameras throughout the campus. Security personnel can monitor activities from a central location and react as needed.
Commercial Crestron programming has been a large part of AVPA’s business for over a decade, and Unical Aviation’s Los Angeles-based facility is one of many large Crestron systems we’ve completed. It was a year and a half well-invested to successfully deliver exactly what the customer needed.
