Crestron Programming for Clients Big and Small
I recently had an interesting interaction with a former client. We haven’t done work together in a while, but we reconnected shortly after he had visited our company’s website, which had recently been redesigned. He commented that, based on our website, our company appeared to be too “big time” to work with someone like him. I didn’t probe too much into why he thought that, but I’m guessing it’s because he saw that we’ve done work with some large corporations and government agencies and have won some impressive awards for Crestron and Extron programming, and he thought that his relatively small project wouldn’t be worth our time. AVPA’s San Diego Crestron Programming Project Wins Coveted Award at CEDIA
AVPA is proud to announce that one of our recent residential projects, for which we did the Crestron programming, won a top award at CEDIA’s 2017 Home Technology Professional Awards competition! Specifically, the award was for “Best Integrated Home – Level IV” in the Americas. Level IV refers to a project with a budget of $450,000 or more. The winners were announced earlier this month at the CEDIA Celebration hosted on the USS Midway in San Diego, and the winning entries have now been sent on to the Global competition in London. AVPA Lands New Crestron Programming Job with the United States Military
Given that our company is located near San Diego and its multiple military bases, it may come as no surprise that AVPA has completed a good amount of military and government jobs. We’ve done Crestron programming for several command centers at the Point Loma base, but we’ve also worked with other U.S. military bases around the world—even as far away as Singapore. In fact, our very first Crestron programming job as a company (way back in 2001) was for the Central Intelligence Agency. (You can read more about this first job, as well as other company stories in Matthew Grisafe’s book, Our Code). New E-Book by AVPA President Matthew Grisafe Highlights the Possibilities for Home Automation and Control
As Crestron programmers, much of what we do at AVPA is highly technical. We’re the behind-the-scenes team that makes customized smart home technology possible. We do the complex programming so the end user can enjoy an easy-to-use, but powerful, home control and automation system.
