AVPA Employees Receive Training on Game-Changing Extron Control Software

Recently, AVPA employees attended a training seminar conducted by Extron Electronics, one of the leading providers of professional AV integration products for commercial environments. The main focus of the seminar was to introduce professional AV programmers to the new configuration software that Extron is using to control their Pro Series line of processors and touchpads.

This new software, called Global Scripter^TM, takes Extron products into a new era—from a more configuration-style of control to an actual true programming language, one that is based on the widely-used programming language Python, which has been in use since 1991. The AVA Digital Awards recently announced the winners in their 2016 competition, and AV Programming Associates was awarded the highest honor—a Platinum Award! Our award came in the Small Business Website category, where we were one of only three Platinum winners. We think our new website looks and functions great, and we are glad that the people at the AVA Digital Awards agree.

New AVPA Website Launched to Better Serve San Diego Clients

Welcome to the new AV Programming Associates website! Our website recently underwent a major overhaul, which was completed by our longstanding web partners at Modmacro, Inc. We couldn’t be more pleased with the new site, as we think it really represents us well as an industry-leading, forward-thinking company.

The clients we work with are, by nature, more tech-savvy than the average person, so it was important for us to have a website that embraces the technology that many consumers are now using when they are looking for a company to provide them with Crestron programming for their homes or businesses in San Diego. Second Edition of “Our Code” Released by Maven Publishing USA

We are happy to announce that the second edition of AVPA owner Matthew Grisafe’s book, Our Code: AVPA’s Strong Commitment to Consistency and Service, is now available! The book, which was originally self-published and first released in March 2014, was picked up by boutique publishing house Maven Publishing USA earlier this year and re-released under their label. Maven is a reputable publisher that specializes in books written by business owners and entrepreneurs, and we are excited to have collaborated with Maven and appreciative for the experience they brought to this project.

Hiring Crestron Programmers as AVPA Continues to Grow

AVPA is growing and we’re looking to hire new team members. We’ve broadened our reach in the high end commercial space and continue to deliver state-of-the-art home automation solutions. As we’ve mentioned in previous blogs, we’re also continuing to expand our Extron programming services as Extron Certified Professionals. But most of all, we’re deepening our relationship with Crestron and delivering systems that offer more advanced features, like smarter automation, tighter integration with building systems and highly scalable roll-outs for clients connected across offices nationally and globally.
